Aniridia is treated in the Glaucoma Service


Aniridia is a rare genetic vision disorder characterized by partial or complete absence of the iris. Three forms of Aniridia have been identified to date. Each can be distinguished by accompanying symptoms. Some aniridic eyes are more developed than others and therefore it is difficult to say exactly how aniridia will progress in an individual.

  • Varying degrees of missing iris tissue
